On Saturday 8th November, Bromley’s most awaited firework display took place at Bromley High School. I was lucky enough to attend such a fabulous evening despite the weather.

The rain hadn’t stopped since 2pm but still hundreds of people still made their way to one of the best fireworks display in Bromley. The rain didn’t stop the children from running around and slipping in the mud. The atmosphere was amazing. The field was filled with people full of energy. This shows how popular the event is no matter the weather Stalls of fair games such as ring toss can can, food like hot mince pies and hot dogs and fair rides like the wave lined up near the entrance. The 6th formers were selling personalised bracelets and glow in the dark bunny ears for charity.

Soon the bonfire was lit with only slight difficulty. It brought warmth to a very chilly night. Not long after the fireworks began. A ray of light erupted in the sky. It mesmerized everyone. The way they danced along to the music brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

Saffron Morter-Laing, 15 “It was beautiful. It didn’t disappoint me one bit. I can’t wait for next year”

It definitely is a night not to be missed for the residents of Bromley
