With a month until the big X-M-A-S, retailers are already decking the halls with boughs of holly and prepping their best sleighs for the shop window.
Christmas is just around the corner and the countdown starts in November for retailers. With the end of October signalling the finale of the Halloween festivities, the dawn of the jingle bells and tinsel is upon us. With Christmas songs blaring from every store, there is no better way to dive into the Christmas spirit or have an early onset of “The Grinch”.
Lights are leading the way to the Christmas sales with bargains on the rise, with retailers needing to clear out their summer/autumn stock and make way for the Christmas jumpers – the festive jewels in their crown – the products that are guaranteed to make a profit in a mass amount.
Maybe, they should consider changing the official Christmas countdowns to begin in November?
Black Friday, the American tradition was celebrated in the UK for the second year running, to great enthusiasm by retailers and customers alike. This success will be sure to repeat itself next year and for years to come. It was probably the best time to stock up on Christmas presents and on some non/Winter gear for this coming year and after.
Also, look out for the local Christmas festive workshops happening at your local shopping mall, this holiday season.
With Santa’s Grotto now open for visit at both Broadway and Bluewater Shopping Centre (up until Christmas Eve) as well as ice skating (exclusively at Bluewater’s Winter Wonderland), all I can say is “it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas” isn’t it? So hurry to ensure that you can enjoy what your local mall has to offer this December!
