Waterloo Road is a country-loved television series on BBC one. It tells the story of a number of pupils in a school in Scotland, where various dramatic events happen. It has been going for 10 series or 187 episodes (and counting), since 9th March 2006.
As an avid watcher of this show, i have been continuoulsy engrossed in Waterloo road school life and the general feel of the school and characters. I can't imagine any school being as eventful as this one, but it would be nice to try!
The approach to school life and the school community within the series is one that should be admired by schools around the world. Although a number of bad things happen there is always a sense of 'family' and friendliness throughout all episodes.
Almost 4.9million people on average (a series) gather around the tv, at 8:00pm every Thursday- to watch a sense of community and friendship develop within this program. If Waterloo road was a real school- how would you fare?
