As the festive celebrations of Christmas dawn upon us, here hangs the infamous question of whether it's too early to put your Santa hats on...

As we're already moving steadily towards the end of November, despite a lack of snow surrounding our towns and villages, the Christmas spirit is fast approaching.

The celebrations of Christmas can involve many bright, sparkling lights, trees, nativity remakes and so much more!

But...what time is the right time to stop focusing on Halloween, and make the switch over to Christmas?

The Canterbury light parade turned on, in the middle of town, on just the 15th of November this year as many gathered to watch the stunning array of lights and stars over their heads of the town.

But...is the 15th of November deemed too early for this display?

A poll taken by YouGov in 2021, showed that the majority of Britons (40%) suggest that for decorations at home, it is acceptable to put them up in early- December.

This suggests that the month of December, to most of the general public, marks the hallmark for the beginning of Christmas festivities.

So, according to the general public, as soon as the bell rings 12:00 on the 1st of December, it's time to grab your trees, lights and other ornaments of your liking - and place them up in all their glory in your house.

However, for public displays of Christmas festivities, such as the Canterbury parade, suggest that November is actually the perfect time for these to take place.

According to the YouGov poll, in 2021, 51% of Britons said that outward portrayals of Christmas decorations and displays in shops should begin to be placed up in November.

These two opposing opinions of displays, public or private, are ultimately left up to you!

So, what do you think?

Are you a November, December, or even all year round decorator?

Whatever your preference, it's time to make this year another festive one, inside and outside your homes, so gather all your decorations out of the attic and celebrate the Christmas spirit with friends and family!
