After losing the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden, Donald Trump has won the 2024 US election with a current total of 294 electoral votes becoming the 47th president and is the oldest person to become president.
Kamala Harris only has 224 winning over the states of Washington, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota, Illinois, Virginia, Washington, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, Vermont and New Hampshire.
President Trump represents the Republican party and Kamala Harris is a representative of the Democrats.
States Idaho, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania all had a majority vote for President Trump.
Maine, Arizona, Alaska and Nevada are still in the counting process.
Earlier on Wednesday Trump surpassed the 270 vote mark with a 51 percent majority vote.

The results of the election have shocked many around the world as a felon has won for the first time in US history.
People question whether a felon should even be allowed to run for president as Trump has been accused of sexual assault, rape and harassment by at least 26 women.
These acts have caused people to believe that he is against women rights.
Trump also vows to carry out one of the largest mass deportations for undocumented migrants in US history.
He has become the first president in history to be voted as a felon convicted of several crimes.
