BRANDS Hatch will hold a stage rally event for the third time on Bank Holiday Monday following two successful winter events over the last 18 months.

The Brands Hatch stage rally will also improve on recently-run events, already a big hit with spectators.

It will once again use sections of the Indy circuit, pits, paddock, access roads and the dedicated rally stage, as the venue is transformed for the event.

A variety of combinations will make up the eight stages run throughout the day, including spectacular hairpin turns and a few unconventional routes around the track.

An array of manufacturers will be represented with an eclectic mix of world rally cars, club specials and classic favourites set to entertain crowds, producing plenty of sideways action.

John Indrie’s stunning Darian will be one of the favourites to claim the coveted victory, but he will face stiff competition from a host of Fords, Subarus, Mitsubishis and the iconic MG Metro 6R4.

Historic Escorts and Minis are also expected amongst the huge 85-car entry.

Organisers have listened to feedback from fans and increased viewing opportunities around the circuit.

In addition to opening the infield at Druids and outside of Paddock Hill bend, the Pit Straight and Paddock Hill grandstands will also be free of charge.

Limited viewing will also be available on the rally stage too.

With such a large entry list, the event will be difficult to predict and will provide plenty of thrills and spills reminiscent of rallying’s golden age in the process.

Tickets for the Hutton Kitchens Brands Hatch Stage Rally at Brands Hatch on August 27 are available from £13, with free entry for children aged 12 and under.
