BEXLEY Cricket Club’s Dennis Simons received a lifetime achiever award at the Kent Cricket Board’s County Outstanding Services to Cricket Awards (OSCAS) last Friday.
There were more than 40 nominations from clubs in Kent for the 2012 OSCAs in seven categories and it was Simons who came out on top in the lifetime achiever section.
Other winners from the News Shopper region included Bromley Town CC’s Amy Rowlinson (NatWest CricketForce award) and Old Elthamians CC’s Paul Daniels (Building Partnerships award).
The trio will now be nominated for the national OSCAS, which are organised by the England & Wales Cricket Board and held at Lord’s on October 22.
