LAST weekend three runners from Istead and Ifield Athletics Club took part in the Eridge 10-miler.
It is a tough cross-country run with plenty of hill climbs.
208 runners completed the course with Andrew Archer coming 19th in 1hr 16mins 29secs and Mark Champion 20th, nine seconds later.
Lynne Champion was 86th in 1hr 30mins 52secs as our lady runner.
On the same day four runners took part in the Faversham 10k.
This time two men and two ladies were among the 405 finishers taking on the road race with two rather steep hills, one at about two miles and the other at five miles.
The last hill is very steep with the top out of sight round a corner to demoralise any weary runners.
Results:
41st, Stuart Champion 42mins 31secs; 89th, Steve Cason 46mins 35secs; 202nd, Sue Beecham 53mins 41secs and 333rd, Leslie Irvine 63mins 32secs.
