Shooters Hill 3 v 31 Vigo
Rugby Union Kent League Two
AN EARLY exchange of penalties went pointless before Vigo moved the ball out to the wing to go seven points up.
Gareth Cross replied with a penalty but although Shoots lost two players to injuries the pack performed magnificently and there were many sterling individual efforts and good saving tackles.
But in the end the visitors' slick work around the break downs and superior fitness enabled them to take the advantage and run through a sluggish defence running in three tries at speed near the end.
In the same league, Erith ran out easy winners at Foots Cray 37-0 - putting them top of the table after the first round of matches.
Orpington fell to HSBC 43-24 and New Ash Green lost at home to Old Olavians 26-17.
