A TEAM of seven Air Cadets from Penge Squadron took part in an annual swimming gala in Maidstone, competing against cadets from the other 36 squadrons in Kent, writes John Wohlgemouth.
Overall the Squadron came 10th which was good going as we did not have a senior girls team.
New cadet Caroline Albrecht, from Sheringham Road, Anerley, who has only been with the Squadron since July did especially well wining two gold medals for breaststroke and the individual medley.
Caroline now has a good chance to represent the Air Cadets of Kent against cadets in the other counties in south east England.
The Squadron currently has vacancies for both cadets and volunteer staff.
