BROMLEY Lawn Tennis Club (LTC) embark on their mission to retain the KIA National Club League Title this weekend.

More than 800 clubs entered the competition and now the last eight men's teams fight it out on the clay at in Bournemouth.

This is the third consecutive time Bromley LTC has reached the finals and last year the dream came true when they beat East Gloucester 4-2 to become national champions.

Bromley's squad includes two new faces for the finals with Rob Searle, 21, and Sean Thornley, 17, taking their bow.

They join number one Jim May and Oliver Freelove, Rhys Hanger or Barry Fulcher.

Team manager Charles Baylis is without Jamie Delgado who has been called up to the Davis Cup squad to face Ukraine.

He said: "Although Delgado is a big miss we have strength in depth and with Jim May and Rob Searle making doubles finals in recent tournaments the doubles matches could prove to be the key."

If Bromley retain the title they will become only the second club to achieve the feat in the competition's 10-year history.
