KENT pace bowler Amjad Khan could miss the rest of the season after injuring his left knee.
The 25-year-old from Denmark suffered the injury during last weekend's Pro40 defeat by Worcestershire.
Director of cricket Graham Ford told the club's website: "Although we are awaiting further medical reports, it seems unlikely Amjad will play again this summer.
"At the moment, Amjad has been told to rest the knee by keeping it in a brace,"
"The belief is that complete rest now will lessen the likelihood of him needing surgery at a later stage."
The loss of Khan is a big blow as he is Kent's leading wicket-taker in the County Championship this summer with 34 victims, four more than spinner Min Patel.
