MORE than 125 athletes descended on Colfe's Leisure Centre for the Clash of the Tritons aqualthon.
The eventual mens' winner was James Cotton, who cam 15th in the national triathlon championships in June, in a time of 22mins 5secs.
He was closely followed by last year's winner Andre van der Merwe who completed the 500m swim and 5km run in 24mins 10secs.
In the veterans catergory of the event, organised by Greenwich Tritons, Brian Longman triumphed in 25mins 50secs.
The first woman across the line was veteran Anne Hegvold in 27mins 40secs while Lara Hawkings from Dartford Road Runners was the first to finish in the 17-39 age group in a time of 28mins 30secs.
In the 15 to 16-year-old age group Michael Barton took the honours in 25mins 20secs while Venita Dabhi was a clear female first in 29mins 20secs.
In the 11 to 14-year-old race - a 250m swim and 2km run - Josh Snow of Bexley Swimming Club was first over the line in 9mins 20secs and Neha Dabhi was the first girl in 9mins 50secs.
