BLACKHEATH and Greenwich Bowls Club (B&G) reached the semi-final of the Ron Ault Cup with a 36-34 win over Old Colfeians.
Tom Shorter, Brian Hawkins and Ted Wyeth fought out a draw against Tom Wilkinson, Neil Stringer and Dave Harmer while Ron Smith, Ken Cave and Rod Meekums defeated Frank Weller, Arthur Scott and Stan Vincent 22-20.
In the battle for promotion from the North West Kent division three, B&G dropped two points in a 37-23 win over Cray Valley.
Bob Payne, Brian Hawkins and Ted Allan had a runaway 36-9 win but Jim Graham, Del Field and Paul Field lost 11-14.
The Ladies NWK team had a dramatic 6-0 win against Bromley after Carol Smith, Claire Lawes and Doris Cave trailed 11-17 with two ends to play but scored two consecutive fives snatching a 21-17 win.
Anne-France Jackson, Trish Mistretta and Deirdre Williams led throughout their match taking a 46-31 victory.
