THIS year's Clash of the Tritons swim and run event is expected to be a massive success for the third year running.
Organised by the Greenwich Tritons Triathlon Club the aquathlon, set for Saturday, comprises of a 500m swim and a 5km for adults and a 200m swim and 2km run for 11 to 14-year-olds.
Race organiser Keren Fallwell said: "Last year competitor numbers were up 20 per cent on the previous year and we expect this year's race to be even more popular."
Last year the event attracted athletes from as far as Hampshire, Hertfordshire and even America.
The aquathlon will take place at Colfe's Leisure Centre in Horn Park Lane and costs £13 for adults and £6 for children.
