AN INSTRUCTOR from Dartford Ju Jitsu Club has triumphed at the 11th World Firefighters Games in Daego, Korea.
Oleg Malko, 49, a seasoned martial artist skilled in Kyokushinkai karate, judo, wrestling and other arts won a silver medal in the wrestling all-age category and gold in the Wrestling +29 years category for Great Britain.
He would have taken part in the karate competition but the scheduling meant the two events overlapped.
Dartford Ju Jitsu Club trains at Dartford Girls’ Grammar School on Mondays, with junior sessions held between 6.30pm and 8pm and adults between 8pm and 10pm in the dance studio.
