GRAVESEND Cycling Club riders continue to achieve faster times this season.
Chris Bramley recorded a personal best for 10-miles of 27m43s on the A20 course at Brands Hatch, 1m15s faster than his previous time.
Bramley was struggling to get under 30 minutes at the beginning of the season but perseverance has paid off.
Mike Coulter also reduced his recent personal best by 1m15s to 22m34s on a course in Suffolk.
Kate Savage started her time-trialling by recording a very creditable 32m52s on the testing Isle of Grain course.
In the Gravesend evening 10-mile time trial, Neil Harrigan has made a welcome return with an impressive 24m25s.
Other times were Paul Benson 27m47s, Keith Ward 28m55s and Bramley 30m42s.
The previous week’s results were Jason Tibbs 26m07s, Ward 28m25s, Bramley 29m45s and Savage 32m52s.
In the Bexley CC 10-mile event on the A20 course, Coulter recorded 23m49s, Andy Gibson 24m12s and Bramley 27m43s.
Meanwhile, Coulter and Gibson went to Suffolk to ride, with Coulter recording 22m34s and Gibson 23m37s.
Coulter also rode in the veterans 10m time trial at Harrietsham (24m15s) and the Kent Cycling Association’s 50m event, based on the undulating Leeds Castle-Ashford course, recording 2hr17m06s and coming fourth on age standard.
The community police will be in attendance at the Harden Hall, Hall Rd, on September 13 from 8.15pm to security mark GCC’s bicycles but any cyclist who would like their bike security marked is welcome to come along.
Gravesend Cycling Club meets at the Harden Hall on the second Monday of the month from 8pm to 10pm.
Club runs start from the War Memorial in Cobham at 9am each Sunday.
