GRAVESEND Regatta Committee's penultimate race of the season took place on Sunday.
The long ferry race was rowed from Westminster Pier down to Gravesend and had four crews taking part in the 26-mile challenge.
The crews, from local pubs, rowed through London and the Thames Barrier, under Dartford Bridge and came into Gravesend.
Winners were from The Wheatsheaf, who finished in 3hrs52m.
The winning crew were Gary Mahoney, Steve Jarrett, Andy Hinde and Paul Mitchell, coxed by Chris Cushing.
Runners-up were TJ's in 4hrs09m, Crown & Thistle A (4hrs26m) were third ahead of Crown & Thistle B in fourth (4hrs35m).
The last race of the season will be on September 11 and is the all champions contest.
The winner of this race will collect their trophy later that evening at a presentation at the rowing club, where the trophy for the long ferry event will also be presented.
