BLACKHEATH & Greenwich Bowls Club had two teams progress in the Bexley borough double fours.
The A team won both rinks against Empire BC as Jeff King’s four won 19-13 away, while Paul Field skipped his rink to a 26-8 triumph at home for a 42-27 overall victory.
B&G’s B team did equally as well with a 46-24 win against Danson Park with Tom Doig triumphing 27-11 at home and Graham Booth’s rink holding on to a 19-13 victory away.
The club enjoyed a 4-2 away victory at Hayes Common in the NWK league but the ladies went down 6-0 at home to Sidcup in their NWKL fixture.
In the private clubs league, B&G beat HSBC 4-1 (118-57 in shots).
