BROMLEY District U12s are the Kent inter-district winners following an emphatic seven-wicket final demolition of Canterbury.

Having aimed to restrict their opponents to 120, Bromley were more than happy to dismiss Canterbury for 82.

Despite the low target, Bromley’s batsmen remained focused on doing the job properly.

Openers Miles Clifford and Scott Gallagher looked to give Bromley a steady start, although Gallagher was bowled in the fourth over for two when the score was on 10.

Josh Lawrence joined Clifford and they proceeded to build the innings patiently.

Good running between the wickets, with the occasional boundary, saw them put on a partnership of 61.

Lawrence, who had looked very secure, was then run out for 20, leaving Bromley on 71-2.

Captain Louis Prior came to the wicket and shared a partnership of 11 to tie the scores, but was run out going for the winning run.

Sean Beckett joined Clifford (45no), who then hit the winning run to secure victory.

The win made it five out of five victor comfortable victories the competition, with Bromley only losing 15 wickets in the process.

Bromley also bowled out their opposition in every match for under 110 runs.
