CAMBRIDGE Harriers had a successful weekend with two individual high profile victories.

Dean Lacy ran to an emphatic victory at the scorching hot Dartford half marathon.

Winning by over two minutes, Lacy timed 1hr12m23s.

Joe Durrant became the latest member of the sub 3m50s club, when competing in the latest BMC Grand Prix at Solihull on Saturday, writes Ray Daniel.

Placed in the C race, Joe followed the pacemaker through two minutes at 800m before taking over with 500m to go.

He pushed on with a lead of 10m passing 1,200m in three minutes.

Tiring slightly in the closing stages, he maintained his lead and pushed on, narrowly missing out on a sub 3m47s clocking, finishing with 3m47.10s, a personal best by just over five seconds.

Hopefully he will have a few more opportunities this season to lower this time even further.
