RAVENS Wood School’s Year 9 cricket team won the Kent Cup final with victory over Skinners School from Tunbridge Wells at Tenterden CC.
After winning the toss, Ravens Wood put Skinners into bat and they posted a target of 108-5.
Ravens Wood responded with109-6, hitting the winning runs with just two balls to spare.
The result is a speedy return on the new £36,000 cricket facility built at the school three months ago and all credit must go to Tom Beaumont and his team.
George Brindley won the man of the match award with excellent performances with both bat and ball.
