DARTFORD Harriers held a prize giving evening at the Glentworth Club recently where numerous club members were recognised.

Results: Overall performances: Grace Clements - senior heptathlon; Adam Chalk U17 400m hurdles.

Track: Natalie Hickmott U17 indoor and outdoor wins at the Kent championships; Chalk U17 indoor and outdoor 60m hurdles and octathlon.

Field: Gemma Brown U15 discus bronze in the English Schools; Tim Billings U17 shot.

Road: Dave Kitcher M50 5k, 5m and 10k.

Cross country: Cara Oliver W35 good performances in the British masters, Kent and southern championships; Nick Wood U200 good performances in nine races.

Senior men cross country championships winner: Tony Durey.

Masters: Pat Halstead W55 club records and wins in the 800m and 1,500m; Arthur Kimber M70 club records in the 800m and 1,500m, won the southern counties road 10k.

4x100m relay: Kent winners - Samantha Brown, Jodie Lesley, Grace Potthurst and Natalie Hickmott.

Most dedicated athlete: Jack Fox U20 triple, long and high jump.

Club woman: Claire Capon.

Club man: Bob Hammond.

Meanwhile, several members were in action at the national junior league meeting in Central Park on Sunday.

Dartford Harriers finished fourth out of eight teams and currently lie fifth in the table.

Highlight results: U20 men: Tim Billings shot 1st 14.15m, athlete of the match award, AAA National Standard Grade 1, discus 1st 36.95. Aaron Barham High Jump 1st 1.90.

U17 men: David Hall high jump 1st 1.85 (pb) AAA Grade 1, javelin 3rd 41.35.

Robert Hammond long jump 2nd 6.23.

U17 ladies: Natalie Hickmott 400m 1st 57.9 PB AAA Gr.1, Lucy Hickmott 800m 1st 2:26.6. HJ 1st 1.53 (pb), Samantha Brown 400 hurdles 2nd 70.5 (pb), 200m 3rd 26.7. Hannah Searing, hammer 3rd 24.43, Grace Potthurst discus 2nd 27.30.
