With just over a quarter of the summer season completed Week 4 saw the Royal Oak strengthen their position at the head of the Tier 2 East division of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance.

They have opened up a six point lead at the top of the table with a 2-1 in sets (9-6 in frames) victory over Our Lady of the Rosary. Important contribution were made by Paul Clements, Steven Heather and John Cochrane all 2/2 for the Oak.

The Blue Anchor lead four teams all on seven points after losing 2-1 in sets ( but winning 8-7 in frames) in their encounter with Erith Snooker Master 8’ers.

Scott Shephard’s 3/3 for the White Hart scuppered New Eltham Social Club’s aspirations to register their first win of the season. With Scott securing the final frame in a very close match to give the White Hart victory by 2-1 in sets (8-7 in frames).

In the Elite division O’Connors stretched their lead at the top of the table to four points with another clinical demolition with the Rack Pack being on the wrong end of a 3-0 in sets (11-4 in frames) scoreline.

The Hotshots, inspired by Tony Bailey’s 3/3, remain second after defeating the Pickwick by 2-1 in sets (9-6 in frames) despite Paul Gafa’s valiant effort for the Pickwick winning all three of his frames.

Riley’s Woolwich have moved into third and won from 5-2 down by winning the last eight frames in a row against Riley’s Rovers who are rooted to the bottom of the table after four consecutive defeats. Adam Everitt was in excellent form for Riley’s Woolwich winning 3/3 along with Tony Halpin with Darren Porter and Ryan Francis both 2/3 for Rovers.

Riley’A have climbed into fourth place with an excellent win over the Summerfield by 3-0 in sets (11-4 in frames).

In Tier 2 West the Kings Arms lead has been cut to a single point over the Fox Under the Hill following their walk over against the Old Tigers Head.

The Fox Under the Hill almost whitewashed the Gallies with this 3-0 in sets (14-1 in frames) mauling. Chris Gaunt, again, Richard Merricks Kevin McNelly and Simon Evans all winning their three frames for the Fox.

The Coach & Horses eased aside Bellegrove Social Club, and leap frog them into third place, with a 3-0 in sets (9-6 in frames) triumph. Rod Altes and Luke Pritchard winning 3/3 ably supported by Paul Saxton2/2 for the Horses.
