Bracknell 10 v 38 Westcombe Park
Rugby Union National League Three (South)
WESTCOMBE Park beat Bracknell at a canter after starting strongly and denying the league's basement side any chance.
The referee's opening whistle was still resonating when Combe took the lead through James Whittingham.
He brushed himself down to convert the try himself.
Despite Bracknell's best efforts a maul on Combe's 10m line marched all the way to Bracknell's in-goal area giving Combe their second try in the first 10 minutes.
Hooker Jon Moyce got the touchdown under the weight of the entire pack and Whittingham, who kicked impeccably all game, slotted one of his best kicks from the touch-line.
It was not long before Whittingham added a penalty but Bracknell finally broke their duck through a Sebastian Berti penalty.
Combe extended their lead before the break when no 8 Tom Hayman went over and Whittingham was again spot on.
Hayman scored again after the break to put an end to a mini Bracknell revivial and Whittingham added the extra points.
The same combination claimed Combe's fifth try and conversion.
There was little time left in the when Bracknell finally scored a try between the posts through left-wing Robert Frost.
Westcombe take on Dings Crusaders at Goddington Dene this weekend, kick-off 3pm.
