THERE were medals and personal bests a-plenty for the Bexley Athelti Club athletes at the County Sports Hall athletics Championships.
In the under-13 age group Zoe Ford took gold in the Speed Bounce with 80 and also achieved a personal best in the standing long jump of 1.97m.
Chloe Slater just missed out on a medal taking fourth place in the six-lap race but she achieved a personal best of 74 in the speed bounce.
Lucy Buckingham jumped a personal best in the standing triple jump of 6.12m in the under-15 girls group and in the under-15 boys Jamie Farrell took two gold and two silver medals.
He won the two and four-lap races and also was second in the standing long jump and shot.
The biggest medal haul was in the under-17 age group.
Katie Oates won gold in the standing triple jump as well as in close two-lap race.
Jamie Walker won the speed bounce, four-lap and six-lap races achieving a county record in the katter.
He also took bronze in the standing triple jump.
Paul Slater won four gold medals in the two-lap race, vertical jump, standing long jump and standing triple jump - in the latter he set a new county record of 8.18m.
There were outstanding results for the Bexley under-11 team who finished in fourth place overall.
All events in this age group are team based, either in pairs or whole teams of four athletes.
Renaldo Haye and Adam Willis were second in the standing long jump - Renaldo's jump of 2.12m was the longest of the day.
Nicholas Armstrong and Nicole Walker were third in the vertical jump and Nicholas' jump of 46cm was again the best of the day.
All four of these under-11 athletes competed the previous week for a Kent team in the South East England Fun in Athletics Festival, with the Kent teams taking first and second places in this event.
