Aylesbury 41 v 48 Storm - Wheelchair Basketball National League, First Division South
STORM knew this was going to be harder than the previous meeting with Aylesbury as the hosts welcomed back some strong players.
A win was needed by Storm to show they are heading certainly to reach the first division finals.
The game started with Storm really finding it hard to score and feeling the referees were against them as the first quarter ended 1015 to Aylesbury.
In the second quarter Storm improved but were still missing baskets and it ended with Aylesbury lead reduced to a single point at 20-21.
The third quarter ended with Storm exerting their superiority to lead 34-31 but they knew they could not let up in their play and so it proved as the last quarter was a very tight game.
In the last two minutes Storm increased their lead but Aylesbury did not give up and could have caused a shock had they not missed a free throw.
Instead Storm caught the rebound and rushed down to the other end where Weeks shot right on the buzzer to make the game safe.
Storm know this was not their best game but feel strong with big games coming up in the League, Super League and the National League cup.
