FANS of Kent County Cricket Club have named their all time best cricket team via a BBC vote and here are the results:

- Mike Denness: the Scottish right-hander played for Kent, Essex, Scotland and England scoring 25,000. He was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1975.

- Brian Luckhurst: the late Luckhurst played for Kent between 1958 and 1976 scoring more than 22,000 runs including 48 centuries. He died last year from cancer aged 66.

- Frank Woolley: the left-handed all rounder took more than 2,000 wickets. He played for Kent from 1906 to 1938 and was Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1911.

- Colin Cowdrey (captain): Colin played for Kent for 26 years. He was awarded a CBE in 1972, a knighthood in 1992 and became Lord Cowdrey of Tonbridge in 1997.

- Asif Iqbal: Pakistan all-rounder Iqbal scored almost 24,000 first-class runs and took 53 wickets in 58 matches. In 1973 he hit an award-winning century in just 72 minutes.

- Carl Hooper: The West Indies batsman is one of only four Kent players to hit a six over the now-defunct lime tree which once stood within the boundary.

- John Shepherd: The West Indies man played for 15 seasons at Canterbury until 1982. He was Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1979.

- Alan Knott (wicketkeeper): For England Knott took 269 wickets and hit 4,389 runs. He was Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1970.

- Les Ames: Les played for England during the infamous bodyline series against Australia in the 1930s.

- Derek Underwood: at 17 he became the youngest player to take 100 wickets in his maiden season in 1963.

- Graham Dilley: The right-arm fast bowler is best remembered supporting Ian Botham as a batsman at Headingley 1981.
