BEXLEY girls’ indoor cricket team met with a 50-run defeat against a strong Bells Yew Green outfit from Tunbridge Wells.
This was the final practice match for Bexley before competing in London Youth Games finals at Lord’s on Saturday.
The visitors bowled and fielded well in restricting Bexley to 223 runs in the kwik cricket pairs format match.
This was a below par batting performance by the hosts, but they rallied well during the Bells Yew Green innings and held the slightly older team down to 273 runs.
The borough team needed a tough work out and that is exactly what they got.
