The Hotshots claimed the Premier Division title and £210 to complete a unique double in the winter season of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance as their stablemates the Coach & Horses won the First division title last week.
Needing only two points against O’Connors A to secure the Premier Division title, the Hotshots won a highly competitive encounter by 8-7 in frames leaving O’Connors A as runners up and £155 richer.
We Anchor in Hope pipped the Pickwick to third place and £105 with a 12-3 in frames demolition of Riley’s Rovers for whom Darren Porter broke and dished in his frame against Tony Halpin.
The Fox under the Hill will play Our Lady of the Rosary in the promotion/relegation playoff next week after losing 9-6 in frames to O’Connors B who finish a credible fifth.
Tony Frost 3/3 inspired a brilliant fight back by New Eltham Social Club who were 6-4 in frames down but won the last five frames in a row to win the match by 9-6 in frames and leave Bellegrove Social Club as the only team in any division without a win all season.
In the First Division the Summerfield claimed second place, automatic promotion and £115 despite losing by 8-7 in frames to divisional champions the Coach & Horses for whom Andre Cox was outstanding.
Our Lady of The Rosary secured third place, £85 and the playoff against the Fox, courtesy of an outstanding team performance resulting in the 12-3 defeat of Riley’s Ramblers.
Ian Cruwys 3/3 and Scott Shephard 3/3 ensured that the White Hart ended their debut season on a high by beating the Gallies by 8-7 in frames.
The Running Horses completed their season with a solid 9-6 in frames victory at home against the Blue Anchor.
In the Reserve league Pickwick Academicals almost whitewashed the Four Lymes by 11-1 in frames and lead the table by six points but have completed their fixtures.
The Woodman suffered only their second defeat of the season by 9-3 in frames to the Crown and with two matches in hand are still favourites to win the division although New Eltham SC Reserves are still in with a shout.
