Jason Baker (O’Connors B) won the main event defeating some excellent players, including James Sheed and Craig Mallinder, on route to a 5-2 in frames final victory against Alex Thompson (New Eltham Social Club) and collecting £140 with Alex taking the £70 for second place.
Jason was also in outstanding form in the sudden death singles only to be pipped at the post by his young teammate and England International Jordan O’Connor, the winner collecting £30 and Jason picking up another score.
In the Premier Division the Hotshots have opened up a five point lead over the Pickwick after defeating Riley’s Rovers by 10-5 in frames and with two games remaining they are firm favourites for the title.
Craig Mallinder was a class act winning 2/3 for O’Connors A in their narrow 8-7 in frames victory over the Pickwick with Paul Slater 3/3 in superb form for the Pickwick.
We Anchor in Hope, for whom Tony Halpin 3/3 and Kevin Smith 3/3, won 9-6 in frames against basement team Bellegrove Social Club who look certainties for relegation.
In another tense match in Woolwich O’ Connors B eventually be pipped New Eltham Social Club by 8-7 in frames.
In the First Division the Coach & Horses are still on track win the division but the battle for the other places in hotting up with only seven points separating second and fourth.
Luke Pritchard and Robert Hearns winning 3/3 for the Coach & Horses in their 10-5 in frames defeat of the Anglesea Arms has left the Horses an eight point lead with a game in hand.
The Summerfield, my tip for promotion at the start of the season, strengthened their claim for automatic promotion with a 13-2 thrashing of Riley’s Ramblers despite Scott Foster’s 2/2 for the Ramblers.

New Eltham Social Club Reserves got back to winning ways with their young players, Freddie Cook, Jack Budd & Robbie Ede all 2/3, stepping up to the mark to beat the Four Lymes by 8-4 in frames and move into second place.
