LADIES snooker star Katie Henrick has decided to turn her hand to pool by entering the £48,000 eight ball supertour.
The Bickley potter, who was ranked the world number three last year, will be competing at four events in Keynsham and Leicester against some of the best male pool players in the world, including three-times world champion Gareth Potts.
Henrick will continue to play snooker on the ladies’ circuit but hopes the extra match practice will bring out the best in her at both pool and snooker.
She is also hoping to join the ladies’ pool tour in March 2010.
Henrick said: “Even though it will be tough playing the top players in the world, and the fact I haven’t played much pool, I am still really looking forward to it.”
