Steve Reed won a very tense last frame to give Riley’s Rovers a 2-1 in sets (9-6 in frames) win over the Crown with Nick Sterns winning 3/3 and Nick Grindley breaking and dishing then getting 7 balled by the same player Lee O’Brien.
King William IV are 1 point behind Riley’s Rovers and still have a good chance of reaching the play-off after their impressive 3-0 in sets (11-4 frames) away win at Gallies.
Woolwich Catholic Club B claimed fourth spot with their demolition of Lee Green Constitutional Club 3-0 in sets (11-4 frames) in the Division’s other match.
With one match remaining in the East Division the top 4 teams are still only separated 2 points, Riley’s lead the Division by frames won after their 2-1 in sets (9-6 frames) victory over the bottom placed Eagle Tavern.
Bellegrove Social Club are level on points with Riley’s after securing a fine 3-0 in sets (9-6 frames) victory over the Blue Anchor.
Royal Oak have moved into third place after outplaying Railway Club Boys 3-0 in sets (10-5) in frames.
Running Horses secured their third win of the season by defeating the Fox Under the Hill 2-1 in sets (9-6 frames).
In the Elite Division the battle for survival is really hotting up and will come to a conclusion next week when New Eltham Social Club need to take 2 points from their match with Hotshots and Great Harry Dogs need to beat Coach & Horses 3-0 in sets.
New Eltham Social Club won the relegation match 2-1 in sets (9-6 frames) against Great Harry Dogs with myself (aka Stingray) producing 2 great clearances to beat Paul Williams & Kevin Hewitt.
Bottom team Our Lady of the Rosary are relegated after losing 3-0 in sets (11-4 frames) to league champions Hotshots.
Also relegated are Coach & Horses after being overwhelmed by Woolwich Catholic Club A by 3-0 in sets (12-3 frames).
The Pickwick’s Dean James played great counter attacking pool winning all 3 frames in the defeat of the Jolly Fenman by 2-1 in sets (9-6 frames).
In the Reserve Division New Elthem SC Reserves had a great away win beating Mary Rose Inn by 10-2 in frames and Pickwick Academicals are title favourites after winning 9-3 in frames away at Windmill.
