With three weeks remaining of the summer season of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance four teams in the Tier 2 East Division are still involved in the battle for the league title.
Bellegrove Social’s showdown with title contenders the Railway Boys was postponed allowing Riley’s and Royal Oak to close the gap at the top of the table.
Riley’s secured a good 2-1 in sets (10-5 frames) victory over the in form Fox under the Hill.
Royal Oak improved their title chances with an impressive 3-0 in sets (11-4 frames) win over Eagle Tavern.
Blue Anchor bounced back from last week’s disappointment with a 2-1 in sets (9-6 frames) away triumph at the Running Horses.
In the Tier 2 West Division Summerfield remain top of the table by 2 points after their 2-1 in sets (11-4 frames) victory over the Crown.
Riley’s Rovers remain in second place after their 3-0 in sets (11-4 in frames) demolition of Lee Constitutional with Nick Stearns, Steve Reed and Nick Grindley in exceptional form all winning 3/3.
King William 1V kept their title chance alive with a 2-1 in sets (11-4 frames) away win at Woolwich Catholic Club B.
Riley’s Royals secured the narrowest of victories away at Gallies by 2-1 in sets (8-7 frames).
In the Elite Division Hotshots maintained their 5 point lead in the title race with a 3-0 in sets (10-5 frames) victory over Jolly Fenman.
Pickwick remain second after their 3-0 in sets (10-5 frames) win over Great Harry Dogs despite Glen Bradstreet winning all his 3 frames for the Dogs.
Woolwich Catholic Club A cruised to victory 3-0 in sets (11-4 frames) over Our Lady of the Rosary and are in third place.
Coach & Horses inspired by Andre Cox produced some excellent pool to defeat New Eltham Social Club by 2-1 in sets (9-6 frames) and are now only 4 points from safety.
In the Reserve Division the Windmill secured another fine win away at the Mary Rose Inn by 7-5 in frames and are now only 5 points behind Pickwick Academicals at the top of the table.
