A MOTOR racer from Northfleet is targeting a home victory when the third round of the MG Trophy Championship comes to Brands Hatch on May 30.
Ash Shuttlewood, 40, is in his first year competing in car racing, although he has previous experience in motocross and karting.
He has worked in Motorsport in various Formulae for 17 years, from Formula First to the Porsche Carrera Cup.
Shuttlewood finished second in his class in both first round races at Donnigton Park and the two second round contests at Oulton Park.
His fastest lap time of 1m27.346s was also good enough to earn him the driver of the race award in the opening race at Oulton Park.
Round three takes place at Shuttlewood’s home circuit Brands Hatch and the driver is hopeful of success as he has done more testing there than on any other track.
