THE sixth annual Thomas Mulquin Memorial Cup will be played at Blackheath FC’s Rectory Field on November 14.
Thomas Mulquin died at the age of 20 of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome at a University of Greenwich RFC training session in 2002.
A University of Greenwich Old Boys team will take on a UGRFC chairman’s select XV in the fixture, which has raised more than £1,000 every year for the Wooden Spoon rugby charity through an auction and programme sales.
Included in the chairman’s team will be Mark Osei-tutu, better known as MC Neutrino, a former rapper with the So Solid Crew, who plays rugby with London Cornish RFC.
Other members of the team include former Canterbury and Blackheath players and current Blackheath and Sidcup players.
Admission to the game is free.
