A RISING golf star from Bexleyheath has been presented with the 2008 Junior Order of Merit Shield at the annual Kent County Golf Union (KCGU) dinner.
Alfie Plant, 16, received the award last week from the KCGU President Ian Burton at Wildernesse Golf Club.
Having already claimed the Kent County Cup with 10 under par, and the under-16 County Cup and County Scratch Cup at the Kent junior championships, 2008 has been a remarkable year for the up and coming putter.
