A YOUNG karter from Sidcup has enjoyed another successful season in the Formula 6 karting championship.
Thomas Grainger, 14, finished second overall for the second consecutive season behind this year’s winner Dan Rogers.
The Hurstmere School pupil took home a trophy from seven of the 12 rounds, including one first place at Whilton Mill.
He also won the Brazilian Cup at Whilton Mill and will return there next year to defend his crown.
Next season promises to be an even more exciting and challenging one for Grainger as he steps up from F6 to compete in the national Super One Championship, which will see him pit his wits against the best drivers in Britain.
Grainger also thanked his sponsors for their continued support and for supplying his race tyres.
