FORMER professional rider Reg Smith from DCB Kent showed his class in the latest event in the Gravesend CC evening 10 series.
His time of 21m53s was too good for Paul Buttery (Kent Cycles), who finished three seconds behind.
Other times were: Anthony Bee (Kent Cycles) 22m26s; Kevin Gleadow (Kent Cycles) 23m56s; Graham Terry (San Fairy Ann) 23m58s; Mark Williams (GCC) 24m03s; Lee Willard (VC Elan) 24m50s; Graeme Moir (GCC) 25m14s; Stan Franklin (Medway Velo) 25m31s; Paul Barnett (GCC) 25m36s; Mark Simmonds (GCC) 26m09s; Keith Perry (Catford) 26m48s; Paul Meopham (VC Elan) 27m06s and Keith Ward (GCC) 27m21s.
Meanwhile, Williams, Andy Gibson and Paul Hyde rode in the BEC CC 25-mile event at Horsham.
Despite the blustery conditions, the Gravesend Cycling Club trio recorded creditable times of 1hr02m35s, 1hr04m32s and 1hr05m45s respectively.
