THIS weekend's match bet-ween Blackheath and Westcombe Park at the Rectory Field in the second round of the Powergen Cup is huge, locally, in any respect.
But it is bigger for one player in particular Blackheath loose head prop forward and vice-captain Dave Penney.
Canadian internatonal Penney, who has represented his country on nine occasions and is desperate to get back in the squad for next year's World Cup, is hoping that Blackheath's brilliant early-season form continues.
He said: "I want to be involved in the World Cup and play for my country.
"Senior management of Rugby Canada have suggested I move up a league or two and I told them I'm going to do that... with Blackheath!
"This is one hell of a club, with a great atmosphere, and I don't want to lost out.
"I came back after a summer of playing representative rugby in Canada much fitter than I've been in ages.
"Then I saw the guys at Blackheath and couldn't believe their fitness levels.
"It was not difficult to realise this was a really awesome team which was going places.
"Westcombe Park have a right to be confident going into's this weekend's match, but they about to get a rude awakening."
