Hartley opened up an 18-point gap at the top of the Kent Cricket League Premier Division on Saturday with a stunning 10-wicket win over Dartford.

Dartford, who are yet to win a game in the top-flight this summer, were put into bat and lost opener Garry Cook in the first over to the bowling of Daniel Redwood.

Seam bowler Redwood then dismissed the next three batsmen in a superb spell of four for 32.

All-rounder Jamie Williams attempted to steady the ship with 31, but James Hockley wrapped up the innings with three wickets as Dartford were bowled out for 103.

In reply former Kent player Hockley continued his fine form with the bat by smashing 55 from just 29 balls.

He was supported by Dan Stickels who matched his opening partner’s 10 boundaries to score 45 as Hartley reached the target in 9.1 overs.

Meanwhile, Blackheath suffered their second league defeat of the summer with Tunbridge Wells sealing a five-wicket victory at Rectory Field.

After electing to bat first openers George Wells and Alex Roberts put on 89 for the first wicket.

Tanweer Sikandar also chipped in with 35, but Michael Churchill took three quick wickets to reduce the hosts from 126/1 to 142/5.

Despite Jahid Ahmed leading the Blackheath fightback with a quickfire 31, only one batsman outside of the top three reached double figures as Tunbridge Wells restricted Chris Willetts’ side to 201.

In pursuit of a surprise win, Christopher Williams anchored the innings with a superb knock before falling 10 short of a century.

Spinner Dipayan Paul took two wickets in his 10-over spell but could not prevent the visitors from hitting the winning runs in the 43rd over.

Bexley lost their first league game since June 4 as Beckenham left Manor Way with 18 points.

On a good surface, Chris Isles struck 73 and found support from Oliver Howick (55), Raza Ali Dar (48) and William MacVicar (40) to fire the visiting side to 251/5.

Overseas batsman Aryan Jain hit a fluent 35 and Christoper Laas scored fifty, but Ali Dar and Junaid Nadir shared seven wickets as Bexley fell 17 runs short.

Bromley’s relegation fears intensified at Tenterden with the recently-promoted side sealing a comfortable win.

Regular wickets limited Bromley to 135 despite Kent spinner Imran Qayyum showing his ability with the bat with an innings of 37.

Qayyum and Ben Kynman took two wickets apiece but Tenterden strolled to the total with six wickets remaining.
