Australian fast bowling legend Jeff Thomson will make his Lashings debut when the world touring team makes its annual visit to Bexley Cricket Club on July 3.
A bumper crowd of more than 1,000 spectators are expected to watch a Leigh Academies Trust XI take on the famous visitors.
Thomson was part of possibly the most feared opening bowling partnership in history, terrorising batsmen around the world with sidekick Dennis Lillee through the 1970s and 1980s.
Equally quick and still in his prime is West Indian bowler Tino Best, who will be hurtling the ball down at nearly 90mph to the Leigh Academies batsmen.
In addition to the Lashings star players, Henry Blofeld will be bringing his legendary commentary to the event and a Talksport presenter will be in attendance broadcasting a live show.
Gates are open from 1pm and the 30 overs a side game is due to start at 3pm. For ticket information, call John Grafik on 07803 147062.
