Roughly halfway through the South London & Kent Pool Alliance winter season and Rileys Sharpshooters have opened up a ten point lead at the top of Division Two, after this week's 13-2 thrashing of bottom club White Hart.

It was a tremendous team performance with Steve Dixon and John Shepherd both scoring three out of three for the second week running and Ben Creffield and Alex Dobbins were also unbeaten on two frame wins.

Danny Olney was the only one to come out with any credit for White Hart, winning both their frames.

It looks as though Plumstead Radical Club Rebels will be joining Sharpshooters in promotion after two heavy defeats for Bellegrove A, including this weeks against Rebels, have cost them dear and Rebels are now fourteen points ahead of them in the table.

Earlier this season Bellegrove had beaten Rebels, 9-6 but this time Rebels were too strong, winning the first and third sets 3-2, sandwiching a 5-0 whitewash in the second set to give them an 11-4 victory..

Unbeaten for the Rebels were Paul Rowlinson, with a hat trick, with Leighton Aston and Jack Wilson both getting a brace.

Glenmore Arms II notched up a rare big win, beating Lord Herbert by 12 frames to 3.

Glenmore had a great start, winning the first two sets 4-1 and 5-0, then having the game won already, went on to win the final set 3-2.

Despite the big win only two players managed to stay unbeaten, Captain Daniel Brown and Patrick Melia, who both scored three out of three.

Also opening up quite a lead is Glenmore Arms A at the top of the SLKPA first division, after beating Royal Oak Addicks 10-5,

Glenmore were much the stronger in the first set, taking it 4-1 but Addicks fought back in the second set winning it 3-2 before Glenmore rediscovered their strength and matched their first set score.

Colin Smith stood firm, winning three of Addicks five frames, with Dean Geary-Parr also scoring three out of three for Glenmore.

Glenmore's Paul Thomas and Dean Coppen remained unbeaten as well, with two frame wins.

The gap between Glenmore and Eltham Terrace Rovers is now nine points after Rovers beat their nearest rivals, Fox & Hounds 12-3.

Earlier in the season Fox had beaten Rovers 9-6 but Rovers were far too strong this time as they won the first set 4-1, the second set 3-2 and whitewashed the final set.

Paul Dawson returned to form, winning all three frames and he was joined by Kevin England.

This win also put a gap of twelve points between Rovers and Fox.

It was a close run thing between Eltham Terrace Nuthouse and Bellegrove Social Club, as the latter won the first set, 3-2 and the former the second set by the same score.

John Fay put Bellegrove ahead with his third frame win, then Sam Pearce gave them a two frame lead but the Nuthouse ladies, Claire Stork and Julie Lancaster pulled the game back to seven all.

The final frame decider was between Nuthouse's so far unbeaten Captain Craig Jones and Tony Hodsdon, with Hodsdon holding his nerve to win the match, 8-7 for Bellegrove.

The top two in the SLKPA Premier Division, Rileys Hotshots and O'Connors have a fourteen point lead over third and remain unbeaten to set up a tense battle between the pair next week.

O'Connors beat North Heath Social Club 11-4 but Hotshots went a couple better with a 13-2 victory over Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats, to go two points ahead of O'Connors.

Hotshots won the first two sets 4-1 and proved too strong in the final set, with a 5-0 whitewash, which included a fine break and dish from Tony Griffin.

Robbie Robb and Richard Chapman were unbeaten on three out of three for the second week in a row and they were joined by Captain Andre Cox.

It was a glum night for the Rugrats, well all except Shane Burnett, who won both their frames.

After the top two the next five teams are separated by only nine points, starting with Radical Club Rebels, who have sneaked into third place after an 11-4 victory over bottom club Pickwick Academicals.

The score was harsh on Academicals, who battled away in a hard fought match but Declan Kelly inspired the win with yet another three out of three.

Eltham Terrace Club A slipped to fourth after only beating Pickwick by 9 frames to 6.

It wasn't a classic match and Pickwick felt in poor form, all except Dean James and Paul Gafa, who won three out of three and two out of two respectively.

Not to be outdone, Eltham's Dan Foley also won his three frames and Dan Vowles both of his.

Bellegrove continue their return to form after a 10-5 win over Eltham Terrace Rack Pack, with Kevin Smith and Craig Mallinder, both winning all three frames.
