Westcombe Park slipped from the top of the National League Three table after the Orpington side were edged out 20-13 at home by Bury St Edmunds, writes Mike Attewell.
The score at half-time was 3-3 with a drop-goal from Combe’s Iain Gordan and a penalty from Brad Cook.
Gordan gave the hosts a narrow 6-3 advantage but the last quarter was a veritable frenzy with four tries.
Bury St Edmunds scored three of them through Tristan Rawcliffe, Connor Adams and Chris Snelling for Bury, while and Matt Poole crossed for Combe.
Gordan and Rawcliffe added a conversion apiece and Cook had the chance to deny Combe their 100 per cent bonus record with the last kick of the match.
