After nine weeks of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance summer season, Elite League leasers, O'Connors have lost their first match of the season to second placed Bellegrove.

It was a great all round team performance, after they lost the first set but Kevin Smith with his three out of three and Tony Halpin, Paul Williams, Clive Black and Richard Chapman on two out of three, helped them to a 2-1 and 11-4 victory.

This win puts them three points behind O'Connors but the league leaders do have a game in hand.

Pickwick have regained the fourth spot that they lost last week by beating Royal Oak , 2-1 and 9-6.

The match didn't reflect the score or league positions, as bottom team Royal Oak played well but Pickwick managed to hold on for the victory.

Allan Formosa was the inspiration behind the triumph, winning three out of three, with Phil Tworek  doing the same for Royal Oak.

Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats helped Pickwick regain fourth by comprehensibly beating Rileys Rebels, 3-0 and 11-4.

The first set was quite close, with the Rugrats just edging it, 3-2 but they stepped up the pressure in the second and third sets, winning them both 4-1.

Andre Cox won all three of his frames, with Steve Gibson and Adam Hewson winning two frames each and Scott Shephard won his only frame.

Eltham Terrace Club A hold on to third place after beating North Heath Social Club but they didn't have it all their own way.

North Heath made a great start, stunning the visitors by taking the first set 4-1but Eltham Terrace hit back and took the second set by the same score, which included a break and dish by Dan Foley.

Eltham Terrace sealed the victory with another 4-1 win in the final set, with Foley securing his second of two frames, Captain Ron Brown, fresh after his holiday, winning two out of two and Steve Pearce successful in two of his three frames.

O'Dowds Flyers also had a stutter at the top of the SLKPA Tier Two East after losing 3-0 and 10-5 to third placed Eltham Terrace Nuthouse.

Ben McIntosh got Nuthouse off to a flying start by winning the first frame with a break and dish, on his way to two out of two.

The set went to 2-2 with Nuthouse Captain Craig Jones clinching it.

Nuthouse punished Flyers mistakes in the second set, winning it 4-1, before the final set went to another decider, with Jones victorious in his second frame and set decider of the night.

Joining McIntosh and Jones on two out of two was Shaun Shephard in a team performance that was a long time coming and took them to within two points of second.

Occupying second is Glenmore Arms A who beat Bellegrove Social Club B this week by 3 sets to 0 and 11 frames to 4.

Glenmore had a somewhat fortunate start, winning the first two frames by their opponents going in off on the black, in a match where this happened four times in total.

Stand in Captain James Grant won all three of his frames, as did Tony Stevens, with Dean Geary-Parr winning two out of two.

Glenmore Arms II lift themselves off the bottom with a great victory over the team above them, White Hart.

Simon Evans won three out of three to help them get their first 3-0 in sets victory of the season and they also won 10-5 in frames.

While the other two teams at the top of their divisions lost this week, Eltham Terrace Rovers, at the top of SLKPA Tier Two West kept up their unbeaten streak with a 2-1 and 9-6 victory over O'Dowds A.

Rovers won the first set 3-2 and the second set 4-1 but took their foot off the gas in the final set as O'Dowds  edged it by 3 frames to 2.

Rob Hearn was the only unbeaten player on the night, winning all three of his frames.

Rovers stay thirteen points clear at the top as Eltham Terrace Rack Pack were 2-1 and 10-5 victors over Pickwick Academicals, with Tony Frost picking up a break and dish along the way.

Lord Clyde swap places with O'Dowds and go into fourth after beating bottom team Royal Oak Addicks, 2-1 and 9-6.
