Erith & District Swimming Club celebrated a successful weekend at an international festival held in an open air Olympic sized pool in Bexley’s twin-town of Neheim-Hüsten, Germany.
They were the only English club to take part in a competition which featured a total of 765 swimmers from across the world.
Erith’s top swimmer was Danielle Hills who took gold in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events, as well as silver in the 200m freestyle.
Georgie Burdett (50m butterfly), George Hills (50m breaststroke) and Ruby Verge (50m and 100m backstroke) also collected silvers.
Bronze medals were awarded to Sam Delatouche, Lewis Hayes, James Vick and Burdett in the 50m breaststroke, Vick in the 50m freestyle, George Hills in the 50m backstroke and Verge in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle and 200m backstroke events.
Head coach Michael Cook said: “I was encouraged by the excellent team spirit throughout the weekend, which no doubt had a positive effect on the club’s results.”
