After seven weeks of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance Summer season, O'Dowds Flyers are top of Tier Two East by four points after this week's victory over Glenmore Arms II.

The odds were against them this week as they only had four players but they won the first two sets 3-2 and all four players were victorious in the final set, taking it 4-1, making the overall score 3-0 and 10-5.

Kevin Mitchell and Jon Syta won all three of their frames and Mavji Halai and Nik Gray only lost a frame each to give the Flyers a well earned victory.

Glenmore Arms A hold onto second place despite losing 2-1 in sets to bottom team, White Hart, although points were shared as Glenmore won 8-7 in frames.

This win lifts White Hart off the bottom of the table although they are level on points with Glenmore II.

Glenmore A dropping points gave Eltham Terrace Nuthouse the chance to catch them up but they also could only manage to share the points with Bellegrove Social Club B.

Bellegrove took the first set, 3-2 but Nuthouse came back in the second, winning it 4-1, giving them a 6-4 lead in frames.

They won the first frame of the last set, needing just one more to win in frames but Bellegrove took the next three frames for the set, which included Terry Mitchell winning his third frame of the night and Sam Bell breaking his SLKPA duck.

Bellegrove had won the match 2-1 in sets but the game was still in the balance with the frames at 7-7, then Dave Sparey held his nerve  for his third frame of the night to give Nuthouse the share of the points and stay eight points clear of their opponents.

Also flying high at the top of their division are Eltham Terrace Rovers, who have gone nine points clear at the top of SLKPA Tier Two West without even playing a game, as Royal Oak Addicks could't field a side.

Behind them the battle is hotting up for second place with current incumbents, Eltham Terrace Rack Pack only managing to share the points with Lord Clyde.

Rack Pack won the match in sets, 2-1 but Lord Clyde scored higher in frames, 8-7 overall.

Man of the match was Rack Pack's Tony Frost, who won all three of his frames.

Pickwick Academicals made the most of Rack Pack dropping points by beating O'Dowds A 3-0 and 9-6, to go within a point of them.

Each set was won 3-2, with Jason Levingbird winning a frame in every set.

Shot of the match went to young Billy Levingbird who pulled off a fantastic double on the black while snookered.

Flying high at the top of the SLKPA Elite League are O'Connors, who are still unbeaten after a 3-0 and 12-3 victory over Pickwick.

The score didn't really reflect the match as Pickwick missed too many chances against a strong side, led by Adam Everitt with his three out of three.

Six points behind O'Connors in second are Bellegrove, who beat North Heath Social Club, 3-0 and 10-5.

Captain Paul Donohoe led from the front, winning all three of his frames and he was joined by the ever dependable Tony Halpin on the same score.

Bellegrove have a three point advantage over Eltham Terrace Club A, who had their own big win, 3-0 and 11-4 over Rileys Rebels.

Even though Eltham took the first two sets, they could have gone either way as both were won 3-2 but they pulled away in the final set with a 5-0 whitewash.

It was a great team performance with Paul Shrimpton, Dan Vowles, Steve Pearce and Shane Hutley all winning two of their three frames but Dan Foley went one better, taking all three.

It was a close affair at Royal Oak where Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats were the visitors.

Rugrats ran away with the first set, winning it 5-0, with break and dishes from both Scott Shephard and Steve Krishnan but the Oak rallied round and won the second set 4-1.

At one set each and Rugrats 6-4 up in frames they won the first two frames in the final set to guarantee the match in overall frames but Oak won the next two frames to set up a final frame decider for the match.

This went all the way down to a black ball finish, which Adam Hewson sunk to give Rugrats the win, 2-1 in sets and 9-6 in frames.

Steve Heather and Steve Clarke both played well winning two frames each for Royal Oak to help take them level on points with North Heath at the bottom of the table.
