CRYSTAL Palace-based basketball side London Lions are celebrating play-off qualification.
London Lions travelled to Manchester Giants on Friday in a bid to qualify for the play-offs, knowing only a win would do.
After leading by 21 points, the Lions saw their advantage evaporate with the game tied at 85-85 with just seven seconds to play.
But point guard Rod Brown scored the decisive basket on the buzzer, sparking scenes of jubilation from the players and travelling fans.
The Lions now face a two game play-off against the newly-crowned BBL champions Leicester Riders (7.30pm), with the first leg taking place at Crystal Palace on Friday.
Tickets are already on sale at ticketmaster.com with fans being encouraged to purchase right away as another sell out crowd is expected.
