Current South London & Kent Pool Alliance Founders Cup  champions and newly crowned Premier Division champions Rileys Woolwich had too much fire power for the Pickwick in this years Founders Cup Final and secured a comfortable win to do the league and cup double.
The Pickwick who hadn’t lost in 2013, were a little below par and proved no match for Rileys who made an immediate impact on the final winning the first set 5-0.
This included a fine clearance from Tony Halpin, a break and dish from Ritchie Mitchell and a well won fudge frame by Adam Everitt with Clive Black and Craig Mallinder the other two frame winners.
The Pickwick came back in the second set with wins from the Maltese duo Paul Gafa and Allan Formosa to show that Pickwick were not just going to hand Rileys the match.
But further wins for Everitt, who played some lovely shots and Mitchell with his second break and clear of the match left Mallinder to clinch the Founders Cup 8-2 and League championship double for Rileys Woolwich.
The other game of the night saw Foots Cray Social Club take on Rileys Rovers in the Premier Division v first division play off for a place in next season's Premier Division.
In a game of such importance it was odd to see that Foots Cray were a man short, gifting Rovers three frames and giving themselves an uphill battle.
The game didn't start that well for them as top of the rankings Darren Porter beat George Covington but it appeared luck was on their side as Lee Osborn potted his final colour and the black in the same shot to give Aaron Shephard the frame.
Ryan Francis then restored Rovers lead and Peter Kendrick claimed his win against the absent player to make the score 3-1.
Steven Reed played Scott Shephard in the final frame of the set which turned into a strategic battle for control of the same pocket which ended after Shephard conceded two visits and Reed cleared his four remaining balls and finished with a fine double on the black into the top corner.
Lee Osborn redeemed himself in the opening frame of the second set by beating his nemesis from the first Aaron Shephard and Darren Porter rounded the match off with his second win of the night against Aaron's brother Scott.
So with the three frames handed to their opponents Foots Cray could no longer catch Rovers who return to the Premier Division after effectively winning 8-1.
