GURU Nanak of Kent County Division Two East started off well against Tenderton Town and within the first 10 minutes had created a couple of chances.

One came when Amarjot Tiwana played in a corner kick, captain Kam Khunkhun dummied but Daniel Jeffries behind him couldn't apply the finish as he missed the ball.

The next attack saw Guru take the lead - Scott Hall took a quick throw-in and caught Tenderton Town's defence napping.

Jeffries controlled, span and hit his shot onto the post but Khunkhun mopped up the rebound.

With Tenderton Town on the backfoot Guru mounted attack after attack.

The visiting goalkeeper was nervy and twice gifted chances but both Scott Hall and Jeffries failed to capitalise.

Ryan Robinson's free-kick caused the keeper all manner of problems and hit the crossbar.

In the second half Guru created chances galore but failed to score with Jeffries, Jess Gill and Rob Jeffries going close.

The win takes Guru to the top of the table thanks to their unbeaten record of three wins and draw.
